Nice place, nice view. Advanced hill. I wouldn't dare to go on a str8 bombing. I think ive reached more than 50kmph there. The hill is stepper than Janda Baik. Janda Baik max speed is around 50kmph. Here u can reached 70kmph. I did like 5 footbrake coz i know my limits and secondly i dont wear a fullface.
The weather is damn nice since during morning but then rain a lil during afternoon (hujan main2 bak kata org). So most of the riders began their 1st trial about 12pm. Started off a bit late due some delays becoz our Singaporeans friends got lost on their way.
I felt off during their 4th practice run. But not on my longboard. I was behind of all riders since like i said, im wearing a half shell skateboard helmet not a full face. yet was riding my slide board (yes i brought 2 of my boards there). So about 40meters from the starting line there was a bit of corner to the left. before it i did a stand up 360 slide but over slipped off during the 270 turn and felt on the grown with my knee pads and slide gloves touching the ground first. But all of sudden i smash my left side of my face on the grown. So the impact not that hard la. and luckily wearing a helmet.
Since no one have ice cube with them. So i have to drive back down the hill all the way to Kuala Kubu Town to get some ice and then saw a Hospital around. So better go for checking there since it's a small town so shouldn't have lots of people in the hospital. After they did "dressing: on my wounds, and X-ray. Waited for about 30 minutes to get the results from X-ray. All in i was there for about more than 1 hour. Im glad im ok. So went back up the hill but by the time reached there. It rain again and this time none stop. All of us waited for about more than 1 hour till 5pm. So some medias like RTM 2 for "3,2,1 Mula" program did a couple of shoots and interviews. Even media from Singapore was there too.
So it rained. Nature calls so it's not the organizers to blame. Pity our Singaporean friends coz they came all the way. But i do hope they understand the situation too. I do hope next time everyone is prepared. And yes its not easy do have plan B coz there are no other hills near by. Or else they would have shifted the course to other hill. Anyway everyone still have much fun. Even got parents came there "Berkelah" . We have about 24 competitors and over all plus spectators, friends and their families we have about almost 40 something of people who came. Thanks for all your support and most importantly the patient for waiting.
Abdil and the crew deserves the credits. More downhill event soon.
Last but not least, i won 2 wheels for the worst slam of the day.
